My P90X/INSANITY:THE ASYLUM Results
The P90X plan was “simple”, but it wasn’t “easy”. For 90 days, I committed to the program 100%. I worked out for 1 hr per day, 6 days per week. The other 23 hrs per day, I followed the nutrition guidelines (with slight modifications) to ensure my body had the proper fuel to ignite EXTREME RESULTS! I never missed a workout. I never cheated on my diet. I endured through severe headaches, back pains, neck pains, sinus infections, late nights, and early mornings…whatever it took. I was a determined to win this battle! Most importantly, I found a Team Beachbody coach that inspired me. One that would support, encourage, motivate, educate and congratulate me! I was determined to take control of my body and my life, but I couldn’t do it alone. It was comforting to know that my coach and his team were right there with me every step of the way. He set an example that was worth following.
The results…were staggering! I was amazed at how effective this program was! The fat melted away, muscles grew, energy levels surged, my aches and pains virtually disappeared! I was getting ripped! After 90 days I was weighing in at 168lbs and 9% body fat. But I wasn’t done. I had won the battle, but the war raged on! For the next 30 day I committed to INSANITY: THE ASYLUM to improve my athleticism, strength, speed, and agility. By day 120 my weight was down to 158lbs and my body fat was below 8%…now I was more ripped than ever before in my life. I was pushing 40 years old, but I felt like I was in my 20’s again! I was strong, athletic, healthy, confident, energetic and proud. Best of all, I was setting an example for my family to follow. I was now THAT man they NEEDED me to be. Now, you’ll find me shirtless in front of the mirror quite frequently (just ask my wife, LOL!)…except now I’ll have a big smile on my face!

DAY 90

Hey Brian, amazing job! Your transformation is easily one of the very best I’ve seen. I’m currently finishing week 5 of my first round of P90X. Like you, I’m committed 100% but I love to track my results against the results of people who have had great success with P90X. Any chance you have pics of your 30, 60 & 90 day results anywhere? I’d love to see those. Again, great job.
P.S. I’m a fellow Tulsan, I live in Owasso.
Hey Whitney, yes I have the 30, 60, 90 pics. I’ve been meaning to post those. I’ll put them up this week! Keep it up bro and let me know if you need anything! I have a couple other guys on the team from Owasso also! I’m way down south in Bixby.
Any chance those 30, 60 & 90 progress photos will be posted soon? I know you’re super busy, but I would love to see them. Thanks!
Yes, I’m sorry! I was actually thinking about that this morning. It is on my to do list and just keeps getting pushed down. I’ll try to post them tonight, or tomorrow!
OK Whitney! The Progress pics are posted!
Wow!
You had some very inspirational results which helps me to continue to get off of the couch and press Play.
By the way, “normal” people don’t jump rope like that! I don’t know if the Air Force had you doing that in the cockpit or something but I don’t think that most people are that coordinated. I’d spend most of my workout untangling the rope from my feet.
Does Asylum teach that critical skill? Is there another way to “Fake it till you make it”? Perhaps one could just do the jumping while pretending a rope is there.
LOL! Thanks Michael! Trust me I tripped over that jump rope more times than not. I was horrible at first, but improved a little bit on every workout. Sometimes I would just do Jump Knee Tucks to fake jump roping during the workouts and have a remedial jump rope practice afterwards to improve. That way the intensity of my workout wasn’t impacted because I was spending so much time tripping and restarting.
Wow! If I were you, I’d never wear a shirt again! You’re truly an inspiration and after talking to you at Summit, I appreciate your heart for helping people accomplish more!
LOL! Thanks Kendall! If it doesn’t cool down here in Tulsa I may have to try that no-shirt policy! Bless you and your beautiful wife for all the work you are doing as well to help so many people!
Awesome transformation. Pictured don’t show all the hard work that you put in over those 90 days. You should be proud of yourself!
Great results! You look great. I would be very proud too if I were you. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Brian! Those pics are incredible and confirm what I’ve been seeing for some time, which is that most noticeable changes seem to occur in the last 30 days which is where I’m at right now! Looking forward to seeing what happens!
Incredible transformation Brian. You made an amazing change in such a short amout of time. You knocked the Asylum challenge out of the park. Keep Brining it. I know you will.
Thanks Jeff!
Great results my friend! What diet did you use. Also is the insanity asylum diet realistic at all. It seems too low for such a hard workout.
Thank you Chris. I followed the nutrition guidelines from P90X for that whole round of P90X. I stayed in the fat shredder phase for 2 months though. For Asylum I held and 1800 calorie diet with fat shredder rations again 50p/30c/20f and removed dairy from my diet. Let me know if you want to talk more about it. I’m happy to help!
Was the 1800 calorie diet like the p90 fat shredder level 1 diet? Or did you use the asylum guide provided?I’m 20 yrs old and 199pds and standing 6″1 doing a hybrid, would the asylum diet be good for fat loss or the p90 fat shredder diet be better option. Also what should calorie intake be for fat loss for hyrbid? I don’t to lose any muscle but torch fat off. Email me with any extra tips please. I only hope my results can be as good as yours man. Bottom line I’m like to melt off the last few pounds of fat I have to hit 7-8% bf, iaround 11-12%.
Thanks a lot, Chris
Chris, I used the Fat Shredder rations when doing Asylum, with about a 500 calorie deficit. Asylum is EXCELLENT for fat loss, while still maintaining your muscle mass. TO calculate your calorie intake I would recommend calculating your maintenance level calorie intake, and subtracting 500-1000. I could help you with that. I went from about 20% BF to 8% in 120 days using my methods. I lost 1-2% during the 30 days of Asylum. If you’d like to join my team go to the JOIN THE FIGHT tab above and make me your coach. Then I’ll add you to our FB group and we can set up a call to help fine tune your plan. It’s all free.
Hi Brian!
You’re results are amazing!!! All that hard work definitely paid off.
I just completed two rounds of INSANITY. I am debating on whether to try P90X or the Asylum next. Of the two, which one do you prefer?
Thank you!
Thanks Rachael! It definitely paid off and I feel amazing, which is even more important as a father of an active little boy! Gotta keep up with him!! P90X vs Asylum…hmmmm! I love them both and each one has different benefits. I love the weight training aspect of P90X which is very important. With Asylum I really feel more athletic because if the speed and agility that you do there. I’ll send you an email and we can figure it out for you. You might want to join our FB group and hang out for a while. I have several people doing both P90X and Asylum and you could pick their brains also to see which program best fits your needs.
